    Why?

    Because the flame is bright. It has to be the answer. The feather carries the first message, yet the moth doesn’t recognize its importance. Believing the answer lies somewhere ahead, it flies toward the light, unaware that the guidance it seeks has already arrived.

    How often do we do the same?

    Sometimes we’re so focused on finding the answer that we overlook the message that’s already been placed in front of us. Maybe that’s why this feather found you today.

Below, the feathers remind me that every message passes through the veil before finding its way to me. I trust the wheel, for it knows the path long before I can see it.

  • The sword at my center is not a weapon, but my spine. My heart teaches me the love I may endure, while my mind offers discernment and reason. The waters below are my emotions, forever moving. The armor surrounding me protects what is soft within. It does not harden me against the world, but protects me while remaining flexible enough to bend without breaking.

    Harmony and balance within me awakened.

    My wings give me flight and the halo of higher consciousness connects me to the heavens once again so I may not lose sight of that which powers me and reminds me of moral law on this heavenly earth that I must walk.

A feather does not fight the wind. It trusts where it is carried.

  • I believed every feather could be understood through effort, but the next feather asked something different of me. It asked me to let go. It asked me to surrender.

    I thought surrender meant losing myself, but holding on meant I was holding on to something that I thought I was. The eyes are witness to myself of surrender. Or perhaps I am being witnessed by the universe, the ancestors looking upon me. I now pause to let the light in. In this reflection, my answers arrive.

I shed this old body to recall anew.

  • The vulture carries a scythe in its beak, surrendering to the pain it carries along with it. Through surrendering to the pain, it knows it will transform. Death. Rebirth. Alchemy.

    The blood dripping is the cutting out of things that are actively painful and exhausting. It carries an emotional toll.

    In its glow, the blue rose whispers that hope remains.

    Through pain, suffering isn't meaningless. It serves as a lesson to not repeat old patterns.

Wings of ascension, rose of earth.

  • Through Divine alchemy, I ascend. I feel the softness of the petals of the rose on my foot, caressing reminders of my earthly body. My ascension into the heavens awakens my intuition, but I cannot live there. Flight is heavenly as I see the cosmos, so I learn balance. The waters flow, a gentle reminder of life.

The wings that lift me can also be binding.

  • The glass cube holds within the grapes and the flame. Pleasure. Indulgence. Intoxication. The flame, passion, desire, destruction. I am tempted by earthly pleasures. Lust. Addiction. Sex. Unhealthy attachments.

    I am bound by my own cage and chains that only exist in my mind. It is all an illusion of my own doing. I can, at any moment, walk through them and release my soul from pain.

    The chain reminds me, as above, so below. The wings form the horns of the Devil… or is this an illusion?

Shattering the glass, I awaken to the illusion of my own entrapment.

  • I believe my world is falling apart. I can see the fire, the flames, the light shining out from it, the glass is shattering. The bellowing of the clouds is deafening. But I've come to realize it's just an illusion. It's all my perception of what transpired. I have seen through the cage. It is my own illusion.

    My perception of the event will determine the outcome of how I go about rebuilding it. What once felt like destruction now becomes my awakening.

  • I have seen the vision of the deer. It has illuminated my path as I move from turmoil into spiritual authority. Surrounded by the blue ripples representing interconnectedness, as I heal myself, I heal those in my lineage. Those are the ripples I have seen.

    The dark night of the soul has passed. From the mind's eye, the Star emerges.

The elders share their stories as the little ones play beneath the shimmering heavens. Mother Earth cradles us while Father Sky reminds us that we are never separate from the beauty above. The Moon illuminates our gathering as the wolves answer her call. Together, we remember the wisdom of our ancestors, the guidance of Spirit, and the sacred bond that unites us all.

  • I have come to understand through gathering and healing. I have now seen the light. I see the duality everywhere I go, in everything I do. Its eye pulls me in and calls to me. Its hypnotizing gaze fills my heart. Within its sacred light I see Mother Earth and Father Sky, the seen and the unseen, woven together as one. No longer do I seek separation, for I have come to understand that everything exists in relationship. Happiness comes to me, not because I have found the light, but because I have remembered that I have always been a part of it.

  • I witness a single tear fall from the Phoenix.

    As it touches them, its medicine ripples through every life it embraces. What has not yet awakened is forever changed by its gift.

    I have come to understand that healing is never mine to keep. Like the Phoenix's tear, it is meant to be shared, so that others too may rise.

I no longer measure my life by time. I measure it by transformation.

  • Upon the back of Turtle Island, I see the reflection of everything that has transpired. I have learned to read its sacred markings as the First Peoples have long understood them through the thirteen moons, the twenty eight day cycles, and the rhythms of Mother Earth.

    No longer do I measure my life by the passing of days, but by the wisdom each cycle has revealed. Every feather has become a teaching. Every season, a transformation. Every step has brought me closer to remembering who I have always been.

    Standing at the center of the four directions, I walk in harmony with Mother Earth, Father Sky, the ancestors, the guides, and all living beings. I have come to understand that I was never separate from the world.

    I have always been a part of it.
